Alison Clements was born in Brighton, and after living in many areas of the country, has returned home, and now exhibits her work in the Brighton Open House festival. A regular event since 2002. Her work is also available through a select few galleries in the south east Alison's subtly textural paintings - fusing layers of watercolour with organic collage, resist techniques, pastels and pencil, reflect her appreciation for the intricacy of natural plant forms. Her Background in graphic design and photography informs the simplicity of form in her work and the play with light, pattern and rhythm - creating ethereal yet intimate images of nature often across a series of paintings. Alisons passion for plants and flowers is expressed in both her work as an artist and as a garden designer. |
